Meet Jenny, Master Floral Designer
The language of flowers is universal and it's one that I love to speak and share along with my other languages – Spanish and English. I was raised in Latin America, lived in London and now reside in the Bay Area where I create customized floral arrangements for a wide array of events, from bespoke weddings, elopements and intimate gatherings to corporate functions and large-scale galas.
I learned my art from the best – my beloved aunt who traveled the world with her husband, a manager of the finest, five-star hotels. My aunt taught me the essentials, the harmony and balance found in the Japanese practice of Ikebana, the tradition of European floral design, and the proper selection of flowers and organic materials for longer lasting arrangements. Under her guidance, I learned that in order how create floral designs that flow with the space, complement the mood, and catch the eye, one had to listen, observe and be open.
Sadly, my aunt passed away but her tutelage lives on in the work I do. And for me, it’s still deeply personal – a desire to connect with clients and create something unique and reflective of each client’s tastes, wishes, and dreams.
how I work with you
It all starts with a discussion. When I work with you, I listen, ask questions, offer ideas. What colors resonate with you, what flowers speak to you, what mood or atmosphere do you want to convey? We’ll go over budget, the event space and cover every detail so the customized floral arrangements I create reflect your vision and elevate your event.
Rustically refined, opulent elegance, sleek and modern – I’m comfortable with every aesthetic. My sources are local, from Bay Area farms to the San Francisco flower market, and my design sensibility is international. But most of all, my practice is personal and it begins with you.
